What we look for
- Strong ideas. Books that have something real to say — we skip fluffy fiction without substance.
- Good writing. We're not grammar police, but the prose should be polished enough not to distract.
- Genre fit. We focus on sci-fi, fantasy, self-help, nonfiction, and literary fiction. We occasionally cover thrillers, romance, and horror.
- Independence welcomed. We love indie authors. About half our reviews are indie-published books.
What we don't review
- Poetry collections (we make exceptions for narrative poetry)
- Children's books under 8 years old
- Textbooks or academic works
- Short stories / novellas under 20,000 words
